Hillcrest Doggers 2- 2 Real Wood FC

The return of Colin drew a big squad to Frys to support him. It was great to see him and even better to have him back on the pitch towards the end of the match.
A hard fought match ended all square which most felt was probably a fair result.
Hillcrest took the lead but Jimmer's persistence brought an equaliser taking us into half-time 1-1. Tom added to another excellent performance (despite his man flu) with a fantastic goal heading Bertie's corner powerfully into the top corner. Unfortunately Hillcrest's determination brought them an equaliser and despite creating several second half chances we just couldn't convert to claim the victory.

Carl put in a good first half performance before generously taking over the refereeing and coping with some in-your-face appeals from one of the opposition.
Bill had an excellent combative first half before hobbling off after a cynical tackle from behind. Will he be back for our last match? Rick completed his season (he's unavailable for the last match) with another good performance coming close in the first half.
Jimmer battled tirelessly to the end trying to find that elusive winner.
Despite Tom's powerful performance and great goal he was pipped for Man-of-the-Match by an excellent performance by Jim as an attacking full-back.

One match to go. A win and we're up!
Rich
